Its affordability and accessibility are what attracts most dropzones to this particular skydiving aircraft. The Cessna 182 can carry about four skydivers at a time, creating a more personal and intimate experience, especially for&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/startskydiving.com\/blog\/how-to-prepare\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first-time tandem<\/a>&nbsp;jumpers. Why? Because higher altitude means more freefall time \u2013 woohoo! How high planes fly for skydiving all depends on the aircraft being used and what kind of engine it is equipped with. Skydiving airplanes equipped with turbine engines can usually reach 14,000 feet or more, while smaller planes like the Cessna 182, can reach around 10,000 feet. However, height isn\u2019t everything when it comes to skydiving \u2013 most people are perfectly happy with jumping from 8,000 to 10,000 feet (or any height, really!).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Capacity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the primary considerations when selecting a skydiving airplane is its capacity. Larger skydiving planes can accommodate more jumpers per load, allowing for bigger\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/startskydiving.com\/skydiving\/tandem\/faqs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">group jumps<\/a>\u00a0and more efficient tandem and <a href=\"https:\/\/startskydiving.com\/skydiving\/aff\/\">solo skydives<\/a>.
